INSULATED CONCRETE FORMS (ICF)
All Buildings
Vivenda Group is proud to have all our buildings use ICF technology. Superform™ ICF forms offer a superior-insulating building envelope where concrete is poured between two layers of polystyrene foam.
The interlocking blocks and use of concrete also build incredibly robust buildings which will stand the test of time for decades to come. Vivenda Group is proud that Orion is the tallest ICF-constructed building west of Ontario.
SOLAR AND WIND GENERATORS

Most of our buildings are equipped with at least one supplemental renewable power source which is fed back into the building to power common areas. This reduces electrical expenses for the building, as well as reducing the emissions produced by our power consumption
All three buildings at Lumino Park have rooftop solar arrays, and are also fed by a wind generator. Parkhill II has it’s own solar array on the rooftop terrace as well.
CO-GENERATION ON-SITE

Lumino Park has a hidden secret - an on-site Co-Generation plant! This system is made up of 7 generators, and helps to produce power for all three of Vivenda Group’s buildings there, lowering resident electrical bills.
The Co-Generator being on-site eliminates the up to 30% transmission loss through the traditional electrical grid which directly translates to savings for residents as well as a decrease in emissions produced. As well, a state-of-the-art exhaust system further eliminates byproducts of the natural gas combustion, and excess heat is used to melt snow on property, heat the parkade, and provide domestic hot water to the buildings.
